All,

The merge window for TDE R14 RC2 is now CLOSED. Builds for RC2 are underway and RC2 should be released sometime next week.

I still need to repair a recent FTBFS in the Debian/Ubuntu packaging files for tdevelop, so there will be one last commit to the tde-packaging repository soon.

I need a list of news sites to submit the RC2 press release to; also any help I could get with writing/editing the press release would be greatly appreciated!

It doesn't need to be as detailed as that, but it would be good to come up with a decent press release document so that reviews will have an easier job to do :-) I can help with that when time allows.

Help would definitely be appreciated! We can manage much of the text on the Etherpad to start, but eventually it should be migrated to the Wiki and have formatting, images/video, etc. added in.

I ended up writing some news text on the main site for RC1; perhaps this should be integrated with the press release skeleton on the Etherpad?

In any case in the next few days I will ask members of the list to review the press release on that pad and offer suggestions.
