Hi everyone,
The new release of my PCLinuxOS remaster is ready and I want to upload it somewhere, but I always have the same trouble at each releases: Upload websites are ''Always'' crappy and very slow, and it makes it very disagreeable to upload my remaster. Plus I don't always have access to fast and reliable internet connection.
I want to know if there is a way I could upload my remaster directly to trinitydesktop.org, and if it is possible and I'm allowed to do it, how?
Thank you very much! -Alexandre

Let me download it so that I put it alongside the PCLinuxOS packages. It will then be replicated automatically on the Trinity mirrors. I already did that for the previous ISO.

Hi,
Yes, but is there I way I can upload it directly to either your server, or trinitydesktop.org, without having to upload it first to a crappy upload/download website?

I don't have a method in place at the moment, but it might be possible to set up an rsync drop box here where you can upload (but not download!) files. I need to carefully consider technical, security, and legal issues before implementing this (TDE servers are in the USA, land of the DMCA and similar) but if you would be willing to use rsync this might be possible.

Would a server in iceland be of any help for stuff like these? I'm going to purchase this http://www.edis.at/en/server/linux-vserver/iceland/vrs-basic/ for my private usage. There would be quite some space left on it :-)

Hi,
Thank you everyone! Any of these options would be good! Tim, as you probably know, I'm from Canada, so the law are quite similar in many ways and my remaster is based on PCLinuxOS, which is based in Texas (Texstar's distro). The only packages outside regular PCLinuxOS are TDE ones, and some free/open source compatible license artwork.
For now, I'll be able to upload the 1.8gb ISO as a multi-part zip archive, splitted in 200mb parts. Uploading these smaller parts on Mega.co.nz takes about 45min-1hour each, so it will take a few days to sent the parts, but rain outside might make it faster...
Any options better than filefactory or Mega would be much better.
Thank you! -Alexandre

Hi,
Okay, I had time to upload the ISO in 10 200mb parts
If someone could upload it to trinitydesktop.org, it would be very appreciated! Also, the previous version should not be available anymore.

in general i have a lot of bandwidth and data if someone just needs a place to drop something, i can supply with them a user and password to temporarily give them access
I'm unexpectedly swamped with getting everything in order for the R14 RC1 (bugs, websites, etc.), so this would be a good interim solution as the rsync access project has been pushed to the back burner for now.
Thanks!

Hello, I've finished downloading the ISO on mega, so I will put it in the PCLinuxOS package directory (removing the previous one), and it will end up being synchronized on the Trinity mirrors. It may take some days to synchronize depending on the bandwidth.
François
I have a VPS that supports 1TB transfer enough. Anyone needing access can contact me for an account.
