I came across this through my G+ feed:

I do not think this will affect Trinity much with its own (T)Qt3
packages, but it still seems relevant. I can imagine it may make it
slightly harder to get Trinity into Debian in the future.

unlikely to be removed from Debian any time soon.

I generally agree with the obsolescence of Qt3, primarily due to the fact
that it conflicts internally with Qt4, preventing use of a major modern
toolkit, and all related libraries, in Qt3 applications. This is the
reason TQt exists, to provide a way to keep TDE's foundation working while
also allowing for future growth. :-)
