Settings are ok, I'm almost sure that the problem is qt3. Will try a new build based on tqt and let you know.
Building with tqt fixes the issue!

I started noticing breakage with Qt3 a while ago. Little things but the final straw was I could not build tdelibs against Qt3.
There never was an official announcment by anybody, but I think Qt3 is now maintained only for reference and historical purposes. All builds are now expected to be done against TQt3.
Tim,
Is this official? Should we post something at the wiki?

Hmmm, that's not supposed to happen. The worst that should happen is a few glitches in the built product under Qt3.

All of my builds are against TQt3, and much of the new integration development (e.g. the Qt4 theme engine) mandates TQt3 for technical reasons. Qt3 is actively maintained and developed, as TQt3 consists primarily of trivially renamed Q* objects, and as such is automatically generated from the latest Qt3 HEAD in GIT.

That's what I understood as well. Darrell can you give a specific example/package that does this. I would like to look at this as well. (although, I'm not sure how far though the build I will get with gcc 4.7...)

Does what? Not build? Last I tried a couple of weeks ago, tdelibs would not build. Or perhaps tdebase, I don't remember.
I also filed bug report 861 some time ago.
I haven't tried to build anything against Qt3 for a while because there are at least two packages that won't build: tdebindings and I don't recall the other --- I think one of the tdebindings support packages, but I don't recall which one.

Not supposed to happen, perhaps, but I just posted a build failure report to this list about trying to build against Qt3. :(
