A note to everybody interested: we have an etherpad checklist to track pre-release tasks. Please help with this preparation check list and missing items too.

In the etherpad I attached a preliminary draft/template for a press release. Please add/edit as you see fit.
We need help to create a list of to whom we should send an email with the final press release. Please help populate that list.
Releasing R14.0.0 is a tad down the road yet, but if we peck away at these things then the final days won't be as hectic. :-)
I'm looking forward to the official release!

One goal of pre-release, should be getting binaries out in peoples hands and installed so we get a good hardware and OS cross-section for pre-release testing. I am looking for a server on the Arch list to get my builds out that way. If you have any channels for Slack, Fedora, Debian, etc.. The more pre-release installs with feedback, the better.

I'm having trouble editing the pad. I can save it, but not write. I was going to drop a reminder to update the syntax highlighting -- but that is already there, so no immediate need. I've always been able to write on the pads. If you have any thoughts, let me know. Otherwise, I'll keep tinkering...

I don't know much about etherpad. I did not create that pad. Possibly you have to add your name to the top of the list before you can edit?
