There are check box options to toggle the activation effect of icons for the desktop and the panel.
Is there a similar option for the icons in the Konqueror file list window? That is, when double-clicking on a file in the file window, the icon does not blink/flash as a visual feedback mechanism?
I thought we had addressed that issue, but I find no discussion in the list archives.

Check in KControl->Icons->Advanced->Show Icon Activation Effect
If that checkbox is unchecked and you still get the effect, then there is a bug.
