This Trinity
service is installed from tdesdk. Although
configured not to start automatically,
this service is
started by various user actions.
For example, selecting Properties in the konqueror
context popup menu will start
this Trinity service.
Most users do not need this service running at any time
for any reason. As we
continually watch for ways to improve
Trinity, should this service be started all the time for no
apparent reason?
What does it do? I can see if it is something needed
to update mime types, etc.. But if we can cut the necessary overhead down, then
that's just smart.
Thanks much. :-)
I opened bug report 1077. I get the feeling this might be a typical developer-geek design
flaw --- designed by somebody who presumed everybody uses svn and everybody thinks this
the coolest feature ever imagined. But I'm feeling a tad raw today, which exposes my
own design flaws....
