R14 last nights build. I have no kmix and no sound. I haven't ever seen kmix just not be there. Anybody have any ideas? The sound info for the box is:

Do you mean kmix is not installed anywhere or is not starting with your Trinity session? Bug report 503 addresses kmix not autostarting. The work-around is to add kmix to your profile Autostart directory (read the bug report). If installed then you should be able to start kmix with the minicli (Alt-F2).

I guess this is part of the bug. After starting kmix manually and setting the volume, the systray icon still shows it to be muted:

Trust me -- it almost blew my speakers when I set it at 100% and hit test sound. There is something strange with this sound setup. This is the exact same hardware I used with 3.5.12 I just removed and the kmix icon worked fine with 3.5.12. Now it shows itself as muted no matter what the volume is at??

You are probably being bitten by this bug report: http://bugs.pearsoncomputing.net/show_bug.cgi?id=503
Launch kmix manually for now; I will need to look into the exact cause of the autostart problems.
