Can we keep negativity to a minimum and find bugs to fix? Thanks. One KDE developer/user's attitude does not represent the KDE community as a whole (however influential). Likewise, one TDE dev/user's attitude doesn't represent the Trinity community as a whole.
So please, can we get along?
*(This is why I try not to participate in threads that could possibly turn negative :|)
tl;dr: shut up, let feuds die, get along in peace. don't judge a book by its cover.

I certainly agree we shouldn't be arguing. Unfortunately, expecting people to not argue is like expecting Microsoft to come out with a press release tomorrow declaring Windows open source.
I think the devs at least should just refuse to ignite the fuel that's being provided by people who don't want to think.

+1. Please move this mess somewhere else, there is devel@ list. I'm tired to "read" these messages with DELETE button :)

I am done; I finally got Martin to detail the kwin problems he saw, which is all I really wanted in the first place. He also ended up giving us some useful information as to the direction of KDE4, specifically that they do not consider more mouse clicks to impede productivity.

I gave you detail on only two of many issues. Please don't lie to yourself that this were the only issues I have seen.
He also ended up giving us some useful information as to the direction of KDE4, specifically that they do not consider more mouse clicks to impede productivity.
Again please don't twist my words. You asked for my *personal* experience. This is what I told you. It has set nothing about whether *they* consider anything, I even did not say that I would consider anything. Additionaly I did not say anything about that this is a *direction of KDE4*. I have nothing to do with the development of file management. I am not involved at all. I have never contributed to the development.
I am rather disappointed in seeing my words twisted like that and that in a thread called stop it. Very, very disappointing.
Regards Martin

You use KDE4, and any project tends to morph to fit its current userbase. I don't want to get dragged into another argument; let's focus on twin and kwin, not KDE4, as mentioned in the other thread.

just ignore my comments if you want to conclude anything about KDE 4 from it. It does not tell you anything. I might use it completly the wrong way, who knows? That's all I want to say to it: see my note as a personal note, don't draw conclusions from it.
Cheers Martin

OFF List.
It is very, very cold in Europe right now and it must be making the inhabitants irritable.... Keep up the great job. TDE has come a long, long way under your leadership. Dealing with difficult personalities just makes you stronger -- it doesn't make it any more pleasant :)
