Oof! I found a bunch of images that need branding updates. :-(
I updated two dozen or so images (not in this list). This is a list of images beyond my art skills, as listed from GIT. Please help!

Will look at them after lunch. E., if you start at the top and work down, I'll start at the bottom and work up :)

I forgot to mention, there is repetition in several of the images, and repetition from some of those images already converted.
I spent a lot of time fixing those I updated yesterday --- until my eyes started glazing. I looked at those on the list and I felt like the proverbial deer in the headlight beam. I knew what needed to be done, but lack any familiarity with using graphics software. Then I really scratched my head when I realized changes were needed and the underlying colors had gradients.
One thing I have learned is editing icons with kiconedit is much better for resizing and retaining some degree of clarity than kolourpaint. The two apps must use different scaling algorithms. On the other hand, kiconedit has no Undo support for Paste actions (bug report filed).
When R14.0.0 is behind us I hope to find time to learn some basics.
Thank you all for helping!

I'll see what I can do.
(Catching up on listmail after a couple of days doing other stuff; please bear with me.)

I didn't expend a lot of effort on the first one, because I suspect it's almost never looked at. More later.

I received both. Look good!
I'll push them all after I have all. That way I can do one push per module.

With respect to these, it is still *K*Office, right? You just need the logo changed?
(Also, I'm making the primary changes to crsc-mime-koffice.svgz , which wasn't on your list but needs the update anyway, and will export the fixed-size pngs from that. As a bonus, we get a nice SVG rendering of one of those problem logo-icon-things, which can be reused in other places.)

Yes, thanks for seeing the svgz. Most of the crystalsvg png images likely have a parent svgz. If you can edit the svgz and produce the pngs from that then great. That is how I hoped these exercise would go: edit once, save many! :-)

Okay, here are bottom2.png, kde_logo.png, the various mime-koffice images (22px isn't such a great image, but other methods of scaling it down didn't produce anything better), and, as a bonus, the extracted logo as both .svgz and a .png with transparent background. With a little luck, having a drop-in replacement logo will speed up some of the other fixes (although there are some places it may not work all that well compositionally).
Anyway, I'm done for the evening. Hopefully, I'll be able to resume tomorrow.

Just a comment on the style - Trinity's T logo is all right angles. In these images, the T is slanted (a bit more stylish, but definitely different).
Do we use the boring yet context confirming and familiar 90 degree angles, or go with a smooth stylish version?

tdewebdev/quanta/data/doc/kdelogo2.png
Notes: In a couple of cases, I lazily subbed in the alternate version of the logo that we have as a separate entity, instead of reconstructing the original (only where the overall colour scheme allowed it, though). I only did one of the two identical edu-logo images, and only the largest size of the two icons. I also modified the supplied GIMP .xcf file for sessionchooser.
This one was already done:
tdesdk/kbugbuster/pics/logo.png
And these two I think we need to think about, because they contain the entire name of the application, using the logo for the K. Unless we're going to rename them to tverbos and tipi, it might be better to use a de-logo-ized (but still fancy) K rather than put the T logo in there.
tdeedu/kverbos/kverbos/startuplogo.png libraries/libkipi/libkipi/libkipi/kipi-plugins_logo.png
The kverbos file has an alternative .svgz version, so it won't be hard to work with.

That's fine. A good sign of "street smarts" is how we respond to our own laziness. :-) As we are rebranding, we can choose to do what we want. :-)
I can create the smaller icon sizes from the ones you attached.

We can't change the app names (not yet anyway). How about deleting the gear? Without the gear the app name remains intact but we eliminate the perception of KDE3 branding.
With kverbos, use the updated svgz to create the png, and we're done with that batch.
By the way, in my last perusal for image branding, I focused only on png images. I did not grep for svg(z) and jpeg. We probably should do that. :-)

I took my own advice and updated the kverbos images. I used karbon to open the svgz, remove the gear, save, and then resave as png. I used kolourpaint to add the yellow color to the png, which the svgz does not have (strange!).
I did likewise for kipi-plugins_logo.png.
I found more images in libkipi that needed attention. In each I (slowly!) removed the gear and changed the K to a T:
