Hi!
Poppler 0.18 does not include the Qt3 wrapper which is used by kdegraphics3 and by koffice.
Do you plan to fork it or adapt to Qt4 version?

It is only for the kfile plugin as far as I remember. Not really worth it IMHO. It would be nice to port poppler to TQt, To use for kpdfs backend, but eh.

Surprisingly no, kpdf uses the xpdf code directly. It's rather odd and hackish. A goal of mine is to port it to poppler. On Sep 16, 2011 12:09 PM, "Ilya Chernykh" anixxsus@gmail.com wrote:

Ah this is unfortunate. It may be possible to message them but its not worth it. it is only a single plugin

But there are two packages that use it. Not only kdegraphics, but also koffice. Is it used for two different plugins?

I did not know about koffice. With koffice it may be a low priority. I can only assume the dependency is required to do PDF import and export.
I think it may not be worth it.

It is required by koffice-illustration.

I dealt with this months ago: http://websvn.kde.org/branches/trinity/kdegraphics/kfile-plugins/dependencie...
They killed the Qt3 frontend and I ported it to TQt, so we don't have to worry about that any more.

Oh, thanks for clarification!

It seems it can only built together with kdegraphics package. Don't you plan to separate it so it could be built alone?

I see no immediate need to. If you want to do that then be my guest :) Just be sure to send the patches upstream to us.

Ok. Anyway, I'll try to use the latest upstream version:
