When my /proc/cmdline includes a 3, and/or when
# systemctl get-default
multi-user.target
and TDM is not running, doing an apt-get upgrade that includes a newer tdm, starts
tdm, wresting the console from whatever I am doing while the upgrade is in
process. I don't want that to happen. It's very disturbing. Is there a way to
configure it only to restart, but never start, as a result of an
apt/apt-get/aptitude installation or upgrade process? I asked 5 weeks ago on users
list and got no response.

note, I upgrade from tde 14.0.12 via Ray-V's slackbuilds
other packages upgrade themselves ok so far ....
Due to circumstances beyond my control the physical hardware
underlying the primary TDE mirror will be physically relocated
within the Phoenix AZ USA data center.
We expect an outage of around a quarter day and that the
outage will occur on or about November 18th 2022 GMT.
Although we hope for a more precise time window it looks
unlikely that we will be given one.
We reboot the primary TDE mirror several times a year anyway
for various reasons including security updates. However this
scheduled outage will last several hours instead of seconds.
To prepare for the relocation outage we will also be forcing
a fsck. This could also take several hours and will start
24 hours after the time of this email.
TDE's redirector should handle these outages gracefully so we
don't expect any impact to TDE users or developers. This
notice serves mostly to advise those monitoring TDE servers
so they don't worry that something has broken.

sorry for fork, GitHub/gitlab dev model all based around that so I forked
first and read later .. (
Problems with this not yet pull request - I do not know how to check
properly for libjasper and lcms (1 not 2 ) in CmakeLists.txt
I checked build on x86 Slackware 15.0 (mostly, updated from earlier
versions) by turning all options ON via ccmake and then building (in
separate build dir)
PS: it seems my gmail box bounces emails from this list, I still can read
them via web interface.
