I don't know how difficult it would be to fix this, but I thought I would
mention it anyway. This issue has been around since the KDE 3.4.x
days.
I like to use Konsole without any menubars, scrollbars, or tabs. Since
KDE 3.4.2 (I think), there is a remnant of the tab-bar visible at all
times; even in fullscreen mode. It would be wonderful if that could be
eliminated. I have attached a screenshot so you can see what I
mean.
I realise that there are more urgent matters to attend to, and that
this isn't a priority issue, but it would be great if it can be fixed easily.

I notice there are many bug reports being submitted. Quite a few have patches or suggestions for repairs. I have submitted my share and have included a few patches although I'm not a C++ hacker.
At first glance I wonder how the developers will keep pace when GIT becomes available. Yet there is a silver lining with such a question. An increase in bug reports shows that TDE is popular and people are using TDE. I think that is good news.
Hopefully such a thought provides encouragement to the developers. :)

Thanks for the feedback Darrell. It would appear that the issue has been partly addressed in Trinity. I just booted a live CD with TDE 3.5.13 built on Debian, and (like your screenshots) the 'bead' is not present. It has been present in KDE since 3.4.2ish. There is still the space (roughly 4 pixels thick) along the bottom edge of Konsole. This lies between the window border and Konsole's internal window frame. There is also the issue of this showing up in fullscreen mode. There was a time (at least back in the KDE 2.x days) when Konsole was completely borderless when in fullscreen mode. It is again in KDE 4. I personally prefer that, but I am not completely against retaining the thin frame which Trinity shows in fullscreen mode at the moment. I just want to get rid of the extra padding at the bottom so that it looks the same as along the sides.
I should probably go and modify the bug report now. ;-)

I seem unable to force window sizes to remain set. For example, I resized my konsole window, from the Advanced menu set the window size to "Force." I restarted Trinity and the window size was back to the default.
I exited Trinity and manually edited the kwinrulesrc file using the same data from my KDE3 profile. I started Trinity and again the window size was back to default.
I can change the size of the window, set everything in Advanced, immediately reopen the window, and the size is back to default.
Can anybody confirm this behavior?

This pad contains an exhaustive outline list of TDE apps. The list is large and rather amazing by the size.
This list will serve as the beginning of creating an apps description section for the web site.
Feel free to edit the list.
The next step is to start collecting descriptions and screen shots for the apps. Descriptions will be anywhere from one sentence to two paragraphs.
Please share any ideas you have to programmatically collect those descriptions from an installed system, the SVN/GIT source file tree, or the web.
I don't know how to properly set up a pad so if the permissions are screwed then let me know so I can learn.

As far as I can tell, if a file contains a password (obfuscated) Konqueror
doesn't recognize the file type. For example, on my system (Slackware
12.2 with KDE 3.5.10) Konqueror fails to recognize both kmailrc and
kopeterc. If I make a copy of kmailrc and remove the password lines,
then Konqueror recognizes the file as plain text.

As you are aware I have taken the opportunity to rename many kde-ish
libraries and package names during the move to GIT. Also being tested is
TQt3 compliance on all architectures.
This process has uncovered numerous issues within the TDE codebase, and as
a result the GIT repository thaw date has been pushed back to December 31,
2011. This will allow me additional time to correct some of the issues I
am currently experiencing, and hopefully fix some unreported/reported bugs
in the process.
In the meantime I expect all members of the TDE development team to
continue squashing bugs. Patches should be uploaded to the bug report,
and the bug report should be marked as PATCHAVAIL.

Something that has long puzzled me back into the early KDE 3.x days is why the user's kmailrc config file appears in Konqueror as file type unknown.
I would be grateful for somebody shedding light on this and where in the source code that is configured.
