Thanks Mike and Michael for the excellent contribution and discussion. It will be good to have a full mirror (and maybe
more than one) of the TDE archive on Slavek machine.
Nevertheless (and perhaps my fault for not explaining it well), the point of "moving away from a single person
structure" is that we need the archive (and all TDE tools) on public machines accessible from more than one person.
Slavek archive/computer is only accessible by him, so it is still a week point, although having a full mirror will
improve the current situation.
Longer term we need to move all remaining services to public machines, definitely something to discuss again after
sorting out the project license and donation status.
It would also be good to have at least 2 people who knows what are the required tasks for maintenance of the various
services.
I do get involved in some of them, but mostly it is Slavek doing the maintenance of the machines, while I focus more on
the development side. It would be good if more people steps up and help out Slavek's on the maintenance burden :-)
Cheers
Michele
P.S: perhaps we should discuss on the devels ML rather than users?? so adding devs ML here too

trinity-repo-14.0.9-1.fc33.noarch.rpm installs no problem.
trinity-r14-x86_64.list is 404 for me also.
trinity-r14-x86_64.list doesn't appear on yosemite (37.205.10.16) mirror in web
browser either.
No such errors with Fedora 32.

Hi,
looking into how to add MTP some questions arise
1. Why is there the usb.ids file in
core/tdebase/kcontrol/usbview/usb.ids
Why is the file so outdated - actually has no revision, but compared to
/var/lib/usbutils/usb.ids which is part of package usb.ids
Why not using the officially maintained usb.ids file?
2. the USB ids are handled in tdelibs and tdebase. Adding MTP as separate
tdeio module would impact also these, or is there a better approach?
3. as I understand the TDE library classifies the device based on some
string in the usb.ids, but I am not exactly sure how it will classify one
device as Camera (PTP) and another as MTP.
Can someone elaborate on these questions please?

I'm trying to write a custom theme file for TDM, using os_enterprise theme as
an example. It contains
| <greeter>
| <item type="pixmap" >
| <normal file="@@@TDMBACKGROUND@@@" />
| :
to define the login screen's background. I've looked through the various TDE
handbooks and poked around on the wiki, but nothing mentions this symbol.
(In fact, the only page in the wiki that I found that discusses the internals
of theme files seems to be out of date, since it talks about Theme.rc files,
whereas the control file in each /opt/trinity/share/apps/tdm/themes
subdirectory is an xml file.
When the os_enterprise theme is active its display looks like its
preview.png, even if the background.png file is different; so what is
@@@TDEBACKGROUND@@@ pointing to?

That's the popup message I get on various installations. The current instance is
14.0.9 on Buster. It happens when I'm ready to log out. As I've mentioned before
and seen nothing to be done about it, right clicking the desktop produces no
response. Thus, I must goto the starter in Kicker to click. That produces $SUBJECT
on the first click. Once I've disposed of the popup (that makes clicking the
starter a no-op), next click of the starter produces expected result.

Hi Slávek,
A couple of questions for you regarding the transitions:
(1) I replied to Uwe's question entitled "cannot run
apt-get upgrade, mirror not found" but his question
was forwarded from the old user list so I was
wondering if my reply will get back to him somehow.
Maybe the old list should start bouncing submissions
with a "please use new list henceforth" response?
(2) When I submit a semi-automatic crash report I get a
warning that the certificate has expired. Does
this mean they're going to old infrastructure and
do you actually receive them?
Thanks,

Hi,
what is the equivalent of Solid in TDE - is it the tdehwlib?
I'm looking into this kio_mtp -> tdeio_mtp ... may be there is no 1:1 map
for that.
Can you give me a hint?
thanks
