Hi all, Tim,
during current build tdebase I ran into a problem because knewstuff-shared was
renamed to tdenewstuff-shared. So, I fixed all CMakeLists.txt. At the same
time, I assumed that was renamed library knewstuff and I also fixed in the
same way automake builds. But now I noticed that libknewstuff.so was not
renamed.
Now I'm so confused as to whether or not to be renamed libknewstuff?
What is your opinion?

Hi,
Here is a new sidebar theme for amarok, derived from the kubuntu amarok theme. It fits with the new TDEUI.
The stock amarok theme is already good, but it would be nice if this one could be added to the list.
Comments are welcome!

Hi,
At the time I did the TDEUI update, I forgot about the Kontact TDEUI page, because I didn't know its existence...
To see this page, go in Help/Introduction page
So, here is the files for the update.
If anyone here has ideas of parts of TDE where graphic design could be changed/updated, please let me know!
I also added the Gimp xcf ''source'' file for the ribbon, as Michele wanted to keep it for digiKam. It is better to have it.
Thank you!

Hi,
Here is a new splash for showFoto. I just slightly modified the second choice splash we had for digiKam.
Tell me what you think! Thank you!

Hi everyone,
Earlier this week, Michele Calgaro talked about having a new default wallpaper for R14 release.
I am not always a fan of ''default background'', but I can take a look at it.
My preference is for outdoor nature picture, which is, in my opinion, enjoyable to use when one
have to work in a office (or plant) without windows to see outdoor, especially with today's huge screens.
I provided here two examples of what could be base pictures for a default background:
-The one with a tree and a plane has a lot of blue and fits really well with TDE
-The Lineart-logo picture used in the new TDEUI. I find it to be very dark when used in a large area.
I'd like to see if some persons here has some ideas for it.
kde-look.org is a good place for ideas.
The requirements would probably be:
-Having both a widescreen (16:10) and a regular (4:3) version
-High-resolution, to look good on the newer hi-res screens.
-Maybe a TDE logo somewhere on the picture.
-Maybe a TDE mascot somewhere?
I want your ideas, tell me what you think! Thank you!

Tim, Slavek, all,
it seems as if in Debian/Testing there is a critical bug that makes applications crashing. At first I noticed Amarok crashing at startup, but recently while investigating bug 1859 I had a lot of crashes on TDevelop as well. I can also crash Konqueror in the exact same way.
The crash logs reveals a common path for both types (see attached files), so it is not an isolated bug.
I have also been able to replicate the same exact problem on a clean "first run" Debian/Testing environment inside a VM.
At first sight, the crash has something to do with Javascript interpretation or html page rendering.
I have open bug report 2116 for this problem.
Debian/Testing is not a stable release yet, but considering that it will likely be frozen in November I think we need to add the problem above to v14.0.0 bug list. What is your opinion?
Cheers
Michele
Hi,
I decided to forget about the glossary pages part of the help center. It
is too much of a mess, and I prefer to not make an even bigger mess
with it.
It is hard to integrate, parts are coming from many files that I am not
too sure if they are really used or not and they are too outdated.
I updated my system and I can confirm that only a part of the help center has been updated for the new TDEUI adaptation. As of what is to modify to get the rest of the help files adapted, I don't know much how to do it... I did a lot of searches with Kate's ''find in files'' feature for the ''shadow'' string, but I could find nothing interesting. The ''shadow'' string should be good for spotting the right files, because the header title of the help files do have a shadow.
Thank you!

Hi,
I am now looking forward updating the ''TDEUI'' files of the TDE Help Center.
But, it seems to be completely different than the layout of other apps using TDEUI, and I will need help on this one, if it is possible.
First of all, I'd like to know how help files are built.
As I understand it, many stylesheets are applied to it until something like an HTML page is built, to be displayed.
As we have seen with E. Liddell, it will probably be very hard to have the Help Center to use a user-replaceable background file, so I am okay with building non-transparent picture set, with the background being part of the same picture as the ribbon.
But, there is still the need to find how to:
1. Align left the title, as we did in the other TDEUI files, with a the same left-spacing for the TDE logo
2. Change the color of the title
Thank you!

Hi,
Here is a new splash for digiKam.
For those who know one of the most famous CAD Win program, you might see some similarities.
I provided the old one for comparison.
Tell me what you think! Thank you!

Hi,
These are new pictures for KControl Konqueror folder view settings, fitting with the new TDEUI.
If it does the job, it goes in the KControl folder.
Thank you!
