I'm searching, but I cannot figure out what in the setup could effect this? I just have konqueror configured in "Detailed View" and that is the only change from default that I'm making. Any Ideas?

Try it with kcontol->harware->Mouse->Single-click opens files and folder.
That is my config, and that is where I see this bug. Even with 'Single-click opens file and folder' selected, [ctrl]+click should work exactly the same.
That is the only other config change that would effect konqueror I can think of.
