Exactly! What we need is a bigger crowd!
Actually what we really need is a PR person to better "advertize" TDE.
Any PR expert in the list? Or do you know any who would be willing to
contribute?
Michele
I heartily second this! I have not been historically good at PR for TDE,
usually being neck-deep in some obscure bug report or enhancement during
my TDE "working hours".
Also, regarding the coffee mugs/T-shirts, this is a good idea. We had
discussed something similar but I think I managed to forget all about it
before investigating further (probably while fixing one of the more
difficult bug reports ;-)). It looks like there is at least one company
that will produce them on-demand; any thoughts on what kind of profit
margin on such an intrinsically inexpensive item would be tolerable to
most of my fellow geeks?
I would suggest adding in this store with our Web site redesign, as users
will probably be clicking around already to discover where everything
went. I could use some ideas as to what to call it to encourage clicks
from random users. ;-) I could also use some ideas on what to put on the
items besides our logo and project name (i.e. a slogan or similar).
Thanks, and thank you again to all who donated! We are now at $350
towards the replacement chiller (~ 23% achieved of my lower goal).

Oh, and speaking of PR, would anyone on this list be able to better
formulate a plea for financial help for distribution to the users list? I
will put something together if not, but I thought I'd ask if there are any
PR wizards willing to take a crack at it first.
Thanks!
Tim
