The question then becomes *what* to release--maybe
condense
a line or two out of each
monthly meeting?
Sure, why not?
With respect to Tim being the person to support the News or RSS feeds, I don't see why
he should be the only person. News is news. Any of us can post something if we have
posting permissions. I have a long background in technical writing and can edit and
proofread submittals.
Watching for significant bug reports is easy. If I was on the bugzilla "all"
distribution list I would know of every patch that was submitted. (Is that something I can
configure on my own or does Tim have to add me to that list?)
Other than package building I would not be able to test every patch because like many
users, I don't use all apps. Yet knowing of each submitted patch is easy enough to
translate into an RSS and News update. I can select two or three patches or bug fixes that
seem significant in some way. These updates then show project life and progress.
A PlanetTDE is an interesting idea. We would have to be careful to disclaim and warn that
opinions expressed are not always those of the entire team. :)
