Also, be creative and think of ways we can generate cash support for the project. Samba has done T-Shirts and Coffee Mugs forever (I still have mine), a good design and go a long way to selling itself, and with point-of-sale ordering, there is no risk in having to order X amount in hope of selling X in the future, just have them made as they are ordered. (there are probably a handful of things we can do that way)
This is not a bad idea at all, if it is feasable :-)
Tim, I am no expert in this, but what about crowd funding (for example Kickstarter or similar)? Have you thought about it?
