I was worried that the use of the whole Trinity Desktop Environment is too long for sidebar, but it looks good! Personally, I prefer the variant with whole Trinity Desktop Environment without logo.
Alexandre, please, can you create next sample - including the preview of menu? Thank you for your effort.
Note: As a variant of the proper name are officially quoted: "Trinity," "Trinity Desktop Environment," or "TDE". I think we should keep these listed options and do not add more.

I think it is still better with the rotated icon. I had to create this sample snapshot with Gimp, because the option to show/hide this side picture doesn't even work on Ubuntu on R14, as much on 13.10 as on 14.04.
I think you have more than enough choices and variants. More than that would be a little ridiculous...
