Hello,
I have some problem with kicker.
I explain :
- i use NX server ( freenx) to obtain a trinity desktop, i launch startkde.
- the user shutdown his session
- i have kicker process consuming memory even if the session is stoped
with a kdesktop_lock process.
Thanks for your help to understand why i have these processes.

Tim,
what is the status of that broken chiller? If the donation have not been enough to cover for its replacement, do you think it would be possible to get it repaired instead?
Personally I don't need that chiller since I build on my own computer, but sure there are a lot of users/testers out there that have been relying on the nightly builds so far and would or could be affected by the lack of them if they don't use Wheezy or Trusty.
Just wondering.
Cheers
Michele

As of right now we've raised $200 to cover the replacement chiller. We're
slowly getting there, any other volunteers? :-)

Hi E. Liddell,
please can you as an expert on graphic look at the new splash screen? It does
not feel good that in the lower right corner is twice logos TDE. What do you
think? Any idea what to do with it?

Dear all,
with the (sooner or later) upcoming v14.0.0 release, the standard KSplash default screen has been updated to a more modern look, thanks to Alex Couture's work.
The original splash screen is still available under the name "TDE-Classic".

I finally got my Paypal account working again. With this we should be a little closer to replacing that cooler.
Come on everybody, every little helps. It may be a small or big effort for each of us, depending on the individual situation, but all together we can do that. I am sure Tim would not have asked if there was another way to do it.
Please donate and help keeping TDE alive :-)

Dear all,
the TDE development team has finally prepared a list of bugs that will be addressed for the release of v14.0.0.
The list is available on the etherpad (http://trinity.etherpad.trinitydesktop.org/39) and on bugszilla as meta bug 2014 (http://bugs.pearsoncomputing.net/show_bug.cgi?id=2014).
If there is a specific bug that you think should be fixed in v14.0.0 and that we have not included, feel free to propose it in the mailing list for consideration. Please keep in mind that such bugs should be blockers/critical or cause major loss of functionality to users.
We are looking at freezing the list in one week time (after 2014/03/19 US time).
The current list of bugs is quite long as you can see, so v14.0.0 will probably not be release before 2-3 additional months of development, based on the resources currently available. Nevertheless we have a soft-freeze in place and so development should be focused mainly on the official bug list.
Cheers

Debian
I have always manually added repos to my sources.list file, in fact the
directions on the Trinity web site mention this.
Installing the trinity-keyring package, an entry is added to
the /etc/apt/sources.d/ dir. This is a duplication and in fact on my
amd64/Wheezy system apt complains about it, from the cli. Could be
minor issue :-) since the packages file is still updated..but, error
messages.
Random thoughts, have the keyring package available for download, on the
install web page, as a way to modify the sources.list file, find a DD
to sponsor the trinity-keyring package in non-free in Debian.
Thank You

Dear all,
in bug 1547 (http://bugs.pearsoncomputing.net/show_bug.cgi?id=1547) I proposed a patch for removing MSN (now obsolete) from Kopete.
I don't use Kopete, so I have no idea if the patch broke some other protocols.
Could some of you who uses Kopete regularly, check that everything else is still ok?
Cheers
Michele
David, All,
I've compiled some stats for the archlinux mirror for the duration of it's
existance (only a month or so)
