x86 builders status
by Timothy Pearson 03 Sep '15

03 Sep '15

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA224 All, Just wanted to let you know that the x86 builders are down while I try to free up some additional disk space. Other architectures are still building normally. The build farm needs a disk space upgrade to handle additional distributions (e.g. Debian Stretch) but I am not able to personally fund one at this time. Help in the form of donations toward TDE's infrastructure costs is appreciated as always. :-) Thanks! Possible temporary disruption when updating TDE
by Michele Calgaro 26 Aug '15

26 Aug '15

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA512 Dear all, just as a word of fore-notice, we are currently publishing the Debian/Ubuntu R14.0.1 packages to the main PPA and mirror system. So please be aware (as someone has already found out) that while the publishing and mirror synchonizing processes are under way, you may occasionally run into dependency problems if you are updating TDE. If so, please give it some time and try again a little later. Cheers Michele -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 iQIcBAEBCgAGBQJV3b4BAAoJECp1t8qK3tXPMoUQAM8pJUzjoDWlugoFXdJT/gsT hzplh53nt3+6lhvHwLTBNXiKpzZQKZkhXK39Zjs/GDbp2f0fJj/3ni7Ms0IaOZTd RJQT4llOIwMoUDhsIlzuLt/7PVC8WA8burPSyJQnkXqU2fcMH1ZWHOZs9nDiPmTd Fs8iFGo/TowHDUrCpBqWU4JFzf1AJ2odhGXF3CJSiYRwwZciIJwRA9m3PN5ekDUB Lc7Z+fl1RfjKOAPG2wWcJI3/rXUi+PTsB54xbCTka9ZbXrDH5XAIuD9nLQVWz40H Kn1VRrpLCuz9fvcmVbq/EIAPq7erAsldoKvpl6NMRGHk4RDN3G1SToCtCHlLhpIa 3/+PoXmtHyPjhSlZeF7Z3yODBcNFisfANHh07fh0Pz4T2ZCXU1VizKlzLtXH9yds UJCMy6vv40HYM+T6Tw26Q2LIgnf0GlQwY3ej16HINnIPbfA+uxnWns5YdECpzrLD 0ivUx3Rp0+cnj4tfQan5DTfQpmbZ4JSQKYsYTK2s/bt6y8uXjyVEGLzeKGnFrWUF 3iJfLSY8gSOfFba7jpX4Tn2g0776GO6b+SSMMHVN6NCpYsc+zNnBk8l7HxVR7Qy4 eTl7G6pve3bKyfqHDNG+eCoUFZYRF0oqNozg/XnEMFasNHg+nqXbZN3Hsm9NDeAW iq39ShBMK9OOs5cKOKhd =pP7j -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

QuickBuild update
by Timothy Pearson 25 Aug '15

25 Aug '15

All, I have put a significant amount of work into the QuickBuild system over the past week in an attempt to stabilize it and increase performance. While I am aware that there were some outages in random components (most notably the PPA mirror redirects) while I was doing this, all issues should be resolved at this point. As of this writing four build machines are online, one for each architecture. As we have reached the chiller fund goal (see prior messages) the remaining x86/amd64 build machines will be brought back online over the next couple weeks. Please let me know what you think, and definitely let me know if anything is still malfunctioning! Tim

what about an IRC channel on freenode ?
by Neo Futur 19 Aug '15

19 Aug '15

hi all, most opensource software have their irc channel on freenode, and since i spend most of my life on freenode, I finally ended to try joining #trinity and #trinitydesktop #trinity is already reserved, but we can easily get it dropped since its been unused for years : 08:24 <ne0futur> info #trinity 08:24 -ChanServ(ChanServ(a)services.)- Information on #trinity: 08:24 -ChanServ(ChanServ(a)services.)- Founder : freenode-staff 08:24 -ChanServ(ChanServ(a)services.)- Registered : Jan 10 22:56:35 2006 (9y 31w 5d ago) 08:24 -ChanServ(ChanServ(a)services.)- Last used : Feb 22 14:39:38 2006 (9y 25w 4d ago) 08:24 -ChanServ(ChanServ(a)services.)- Mode lock : +ntc-s 08:24 -ChanServ(ChanServ(a)services.)- Flags : SECURE KEEPTOPIC TOPICLOCK GUARD so we can get #trinity if needed , this just needs a little bit of talks with freenode staff. or we can just use #trinitydesktop out of the box. what do you guys think ? i could do a non official channel myself, but i think it could be better to have an official or semi official channel . anyway I ll be on both channels on freenode for the next few days, come and join me if you think trinity need an irc channel on freenode ! -- Cordialement ----------------------------------- William Waisse, PGP 0x 690B4E07 http://waisse.org | http://neoskills.com | http://ww7.pe | https://careers.stackoverflow.com/neofutur "Computers are like air conditionners. Unable to update or install tdesvn-trinity
by Werner Bast 12 Aug '15

12 Aug '15

Hallo, since several week the Adept Notifier informs me that there are several updated packages: tdesvn-trinity and tdesvn-tdeio-plugins-trinity. But the neither the ubuntu-update-manager nor synaptic does the update. It remains in the state "should be updated". So i decided to try it with apt-get and run into a little problem. An update of tdnsvn-trinity isn't possible it needs tdesvn-tdeio-plugins-trinity An update of tdesvn-tdeio-plugins-trinity removes tdnsvn-trinity cause tdesvn-tdeio-plugins-trinity needs libsvnqt-trinity. And libsvnqt-trinity doesn't like tdnsvn-trinity. So it is impossible to update or install tdnsvn-trinity. My System is a Ubuntu-trusty-thar-box(14.04LTS) on a amd64-Core. Yours Werner

Polish translations
by Marcin Wilk 03 Aug '15

03 Aug '15

Hello! I would like to ask once again, how can I help with some Trinity translations (Polish language)? There are few places where some better translation would be cool, or add it into places where it lacks. I would like to know how can i do that, where to start? Best Regards -- Marcin Wilk, http://www.marcinwilk.eu/

TDE on FreeBSD problems
by Dr. Nikolaus Klepp 28 Jul '15

Hi all! I just tried to compile TDE on FreeBSD 10.1 by using the freebsd ports tree from tde-packaging, but the very first step (downloading the packages for tqmake) fails: ===> Found saved configuration for tqmake-14.0.1.p7 ===> tqmake-14.0.1.p7 depends on file: /usr/local/sbin/pkg - found => tqt-x11-free_14.0.1~pre7.orig.tar.xz doesn't seem to exist in /usr/ports/distfiles/TDE/dependencies. => Attempting to fetch http://mirror.xcer.cz/trinity-sb/pool/main-r14/t/tqt-x11-free/tqt-x11-free_… fetch: http://mirror.xcer.cz/trinity-sb/pool/main-r14/t/tqt-x11-free/tqt-x11-free_…: Not Found => Attempting to fetch http://ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net/slavek-banko/main-r14/ubuntu/poo… fetch: http://ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net/slavek-banko/main-r14/ubuntu/poo…: Not Found => Attempting to fetch http://distcache.FreeBSD.org/ports-distfiles/TDE/dependencies/tqt-x11-free_… fetch: http://distcache.FreeBSD.org/ports-distfiles/TDE/dependencies/tqt-x11-free_…: Not Found => Couldn't fetch it - please try to retrieve this => port manually into /usr/ports/distfiles/TDE/dependencies and try again. *** Error code 1 There is a tqt-x11-free_14.0.1.orig.tar.xz at http://mirror.xcer.cz/trinity-sb/pool/main-r14/t/tqt-x11-free/, but no tqt-x11-free_14.0.1~pre7.orig.tar.xz Nik -- Please do not email me anything that you are not comfortable also sharing with the NSA.

Status of R14.0.1 release
by Alexandre 26 Jul '15

26 Jul '15

Hi, I just wanted to know the status of TDE R14.0.1 as of now. Is it ready to release, or there is still bugs to solve before the packages are built and officially released? After jumping TDE R14.0.0 for my PCLinuxOS non-official TDE remaster, I will do it back with R14.0.1, when it will be ready! Thank you! -Alexandre
