Hi all!
I'm trying to build TDE on FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE-p10 from tde-packaging. I ran into these issues:
dependencies/arts:
"pkg-plist" references "lib/pkgconfig", this should be "libdata/pkgconfig" - otherwise the package is not built:
177,178c177,178
< lib/pkgconfig/arts.pc
< lib/pkgconfig/artsc.pc
---
> libdata/pkgconfig/arts.pc
> libdata/pkgconfig/artsc.pc
I did not build these plugins:
dependencies/tqt3-ibase-plugin
dependencies/tqt3-mysql-plugin
dependencies/tqt3-odbc-plugin
dependencies/tqt3-pgsql-plugin
All other dependencies build fine without any issues.
Now I'm stuck at tdelibs:
"tdelibs" references "tdelibs-trinity_14.0.5~pre49.orig.tar.xz", but there is only "tdelibs-trinity_14.0.5~pre48.orig.tar.xz" on the server. Patching ~pre48 with patchset of ~pre49 fails (as was to be expected).
So, where do I find "tdelibs-trinity_14.0.5~pre49.orig.tar.xz"?

Hi there!
Sorry to step in the devs's room but I'm seeking information about git
uses to clone the TDE repository.
Yesterday I applyed the method displayed in the wiki, namely:
- git clone https://mirror.git.trinitydesktop.org/cgit/tde
- cd tde
- git submodule init -- scripts
- git submodule update -- scripts
- ./scripts/switch_all_submodules_to_head_and_clean anonymous
After more than 6 hours of downloading (at an average of 70 kib/s) the
connexion stopped and wouldn't restart properly.
I don't think I can fetch the entire project history in those
conditions, this would take days...I guess!
Is there a way to shorten the cloning in order to get the last code?
I tryed with "--depth=1" but I was rather unsuccessfull on the matter.

gregory
Hi,
I try someting with tqt dbus - I want to try to talk to BT.
I found this nice application dbusxml2qt3 and I want to thank the author for
the effort, even if have not (yet) succeeded with it.
I have a problem when I try to compile generated code. It says:
error: no matching function for call
to 'TQT_DBusDataMap<TQT_DBusObjectPath>::TQT_DBusDataMap(TQMap<TQT_DBusObjectPath,
TQT_DBusDataMap<TQString> >&)'
reply << TQT_DBusData::fromObjectPathKeyMap(TQT_DBusDataMap<
TQT_DBusObjectPath >(_objects));
...
...
...
/usr/include/dbus-1-tqt/tqdbusdatamap.h:477:5: note: candidate:
TQT_DBusDataMap<K>::TQT_DBusDataMap(const TQMap<T, TQT_DBusVariant>&) [with
T = TQT_DBusObjectPath]
TQT_DBusDataMap<T>(const TQMap<T, TQT_DBusVariant>& other)
etc etc.
This is the line where it fails
TQMap< TQT_DBusObjectPath, TQT_DBusDataMap< TQString > > _objects;
and in the header I have
template <typename K, typename V> class TQMap;
template <typename K> class TQT_DBusDataMap;
Does it mean it is missing in tqt dbus as I think dbusxml2qt3 is working
fine, but could be Variant was added later somewhere in dbus?
I understand I am missing prototype for
TQMap< TQT_DBusObjectPath, TQT_DBusDataMap< TQString > >
Who can help me work around this situation?
Thanks in advance
Debian Jessie (which is also the base for Devuan Jessie) moves to
limited LTS June 6th. Stable TDE 14.0.4 does not support Debian
Stretch. PSB TDE 14.0.5 supports Debian Stretch and reportedly
works well, but there are still frequent updates which would tend
to preclude rollout to stable deployments.
(Devuan Ascii which is based on Debian Stretch made RC on May 9th
and should be Stable soon.)
What please is the plan for Stable TDE 14.0.5?
And what please is the plan for TDE 14.1.0 (which I have not tried).
Thanks,

Hi all!
I just stepped in kcontrol over the URL leading http://themes.kde.org again. http://themes.kde.org redirects to https://store.kde.org/ - if you try to find a working theme for TDE, you have to look very hard. But https://www.trinity-look.org/ (served from the same server) gives the correct category.
I've added 2 patches, one for kcontrol, the second for the tabbedbrowsing profile to replace these URLS. In tabbedbrowsing I also changed the URLS from KDE internals to TDE mainsite and TDE wiki.
Would it be possible to change this cosmetic anoyance in the next release?

Dear all,
the "compress as" submenu in Konqueror is going to have some minor rework.
We are changing the default compression format from gz to xz and enabling jar format (which could be useful for java
programmers).
We would like to remove lzma from that menu since we think it is not widely used anymore (the format would still be
available through the "Add to archive" entry).
Any objection on this last point before we proceed?
thanks
Michele

The projects fatal mistake, is to think, that only the next bug fix
matters. All social aspects are ignored. Proof of that, is that you even
refuse to move the user mailing list to an official reddit. The easiest
thing to do, and still considered not worth the trouble.
regards
1. Shut down the user mailing list, and drag you kicking and screaming, to an
official reedit
2. Shut down the git repo, and drag you kicking and screaming to github.
3. Impose renaming as top priority, and a split in several categories. With
main, of guaranteed minimum quality.
4. Bend over backwards, so that trinity is accepted in Debian.
All this, is just to increase exposire of the project.
You have to go, where people are.
This way, you get more users and devs.
Instead, every one here, only see's the very short term.
Literally, just the next patch.
This can not be done, without some one in charge.....
