however, doesn't the system search the $PATH directories in order? Placing the Trinity bin directory first should cause its contents to take precedence over what's in /usr/bin if there's a naming conflict, shouldn't it?
Should, but I can think of one bug report right now where that doesn't work: bug report 657. The only way I can get kword and kpresenter to work from the T-Menu is to use the full path. Oddly, the other apps in koffice start just fine from the T-Menu.
Maybe this isn't a path problem, but if I knew I would not have filed the report. :)
