I can't get kdm to authenticate my user.
I built kdebase from revision 1236975, and I configured it as follows:
mkdir build; cd build
cmake .. \
-DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr \
-DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release \
-DBUILD_ALL=On \
-DBUILD_DOC=Off \
-DWITH_SHADOW=On
Yet I am unable to authenticate my user. This system doesn't have pam.
This used to work with kde 3.5.10 when I ran configure with --with-shadow.
Suggestions?
No answer last time. Does that mean nobody now uses digikam in trinity?

Digikam 0.9.6 seems to be missing a lot of functions; for example, in Edit
mode, Color, Enhance, have no options visible. Transform has a minimal set.
I presume that there are some plugins missing.
didkam, kipi plugins and showfoto are all installed.

Any pointers to where I should look?

Hello
I asked around and it seems that the knetworkmanager has a
problem with hibernating and then resuming. WICD seems to be
an alternative but does not work in trinity, at least when I
try to scan the scan option can not be activated.
Any comments on this?

I recently upgraded my netbook from Ubuntu karmic 9.10 to 10.04 LTS,
after which I upgraded the installed Trinity 3.5.11. At first
everything seemed to be Just Fine.
But, I found that when I attempted to connect my external USB hard drive
it resulted in a pop-up error message:
Method "Mount" with signature "ssas" on interface
"org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume" doesn't exist
The same USB hard drive mounts (and unmounts) Just Fine on my older
karmic 9.10 box with Trinity 3.5.11. (The drive is formatted ext3 and I
use it to back up $HOME(s) on my linux boxes.)
The netbook is remembering something about the mount attempt, because
after a cold re-boot, _without_ the USB drive connected, there remains a
mount point: /media/MLJ_USB_1/ -- "MLJ_USB_1" being the label of the USB
hard drive. And I cannot `umount` it: "... is not mounted (according to
mtab)".
`mount` shows: "/dev/sda1 on / type ext4 (rw,errors=remount-ro)" -- of
course the USB drive is NOT connected at all. (The USB drive shows
properly as "/dev/sda5 / _ext3_ rw,errors=remount-ro 0 0" on the karmic
box.)
If I log out of Trinity and into Gnome, I can mount and unmount the
drive without a problem. If I leave it mounted -- log out of Gnome and
log back into Trinity, it is still mounted, and shows as formatted ext3.
If I then (in KDE) unmount it, unplug it, and plug it back in, I get:
Method "Mount" with signature "ssas" on interface
"org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume" doesn't exist
Looking through the Bug List does not yield anything that fits my
problem.
Then, being paranoid, I checked to see if the same problem existed with
the SD memory card socket. Yes, same problem. And, the SD card mounts
and unmounts Just Fine in Gnome.
What to do?

I've finally managed to produce some working Trinity Mandriva packages
(available from http://www.autotrain.org/mdv-kde/mdv2010.2.html). However,
i've got a problem with kcontrol, it starts up fine, but it doesn't load
any configuration options, so the main config panels are blank.
This could be being caused by one of the mandriva patches, rather than
being a bug in the Trinity core, but i'd appreciate some suggestions as to
what I should be looking for.
Other 'lesser' configuation screens, eg "Configure Desktop" and "Configure
Panel" seem to work fine.

Hi,
I'm running Trinity 3.5.12 which I've patched with the Flash 10 patch (
http://www.trinitydesktop.org/patches/r1224648.diff ). This works fine
with Flash 10.2, but doesn't seem to work with 10.3 or with the new
Flash 11 beta. Symptoms with both are that it segfaults somewhere in
the Flash player. I can provide backtraces if helpful. My base O/S is
Debian Squeeze, i386 userland and flash plugin running on an amd64 kernel.
To help me narrow the problem down, is anyone else experiencing
this problem with the newer Flash updates, please ?

I upgraded my daughter's desktop to squeeze, and the last step was to
install Trinity. Unfortunately, the trinitydesktop.org site is not found in
iceweasel, and when I tried to download the key for the repository, I get:
