Hello
I am not even sure which trinity version I have installed but it must be
a couple of years old (still running Kubuntu 10.04). I would like to
purge it before try to install 3.5.13
However
Sudo dpkg -l | grep trinity
does not show anything
sudo dpkg -l | grep kubutu-desktop
Show
kubuntu-desktop-kde3 1:10
Any advice how to proceed?
thanks

Hello
I am running trinity 3.5.13 on Kubuntu 10.04 for a while without much
trouble.
I just wanted to login using KDE4 or failsave, the login manager
accepts my password seems to start one of these windows manager but then
returns to the login screen.
What could be the problem?
Since I cannot use the trinity control Center for the User Administration
(outstanding trinity bug) I cannot try to do it as a different user.

Hi folks,
I'm using trinity on a 64 bit Ubuntu precise (12.04) installation and
I want to report a very annoying bug caused by a package conflict of
libogg0 from the trinity repository:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/trinity-desktop/+bug/977103
Since trinity's libogg0 conflicts with Ubuntu libogg0:i386 several 32
bit applications such as adobe reader can no longer be installed on 64
bit trinity installations.
Is there really a conflict between libogg0 and libogg0:i386 that needs
to be in the package definition or can one just remove this tag?
Best Regards,
Stefan
Hello,
I recently upgraded to Ubuntu trusty and discovered some problems with hal. I read that hal is deprecated and that I have to purge the package in order to get rid of the problems.
Unfortunately kdebase-kio-plugins-trinity depends on hal, because of some hotplug/automount features
I could easily give up on the hotplug/automount feature. But kdebase-kio-plugins-trinity contains also the protocol support for ftp, http, ... - essential parts of trinity.
What's the future of this package?
Is it possible to convert the "strong dependency" to hal into a "package suggestion" and to eventually implement some fallback strategies if hal is not available (just deactivating all hal features)?
Regards,
Stefan
This is for a machine that is used by 2 users on the same login, one English
speaking and one Spanish speaking. Is there a fast easy way for them to
switch between languages, like an applet? They can do it via Control
Center, but I'd like to save them a few clicks each time if possible.
This is R14 on Debian Wheezy.

(R14 on Wheezy) I installed network-manager-tde, which works fine, but
nm-applet still runs and shows up as a (I think) 2x2 pixel dot, like it did
in 13.2. I can't uninstall network-manager-gnome because XFCE also has to
be available, and needs a network applet. Is there a way to make nm-applet
not run, or at least not show up, in TDE? Or maybe a way to make it show up
correctly so I can uninstall network-manager-tde?

(R14 on Debian Wheezy, on an HP 2510p laptop) TDEPowersave shows a second
battery that doesn't exist. It shows as 'Battery 1', and today is showing
100% charge, but yesterday showed 0%. The real battery shows as 'Battery
2'. Any fix for this?
