I'm trying to get skype sound to work but apparently the monkeys at MS removed
alsa support and replaced it with pulse, which is rubbish. Even though I have
pulse enable (pclos - ali's remaster), it still doesn't show up. Is there a
fix to re-enable alsa or the like?

I've got a really great Amarok playlist of songs that I find help me
concentrate.
I've looked for a means of playing such a playlist on Android without
success.
If anyone has succeeded in porting a TDE program to Android it would
maybe bring this dream a little closer.
Please tell me I'm not the only one with such a dream :)

I want to know if there is some forecast on getting rid of autotools
and using only cmake, mainly because I want to port trinity to NixOS,
and it would be easier taht way.

Does anyone has succeeded to install "enigmail" with kmail-trinity,
or an application similar to enigmail ?
The objective is to use GPG keys in kmail-trinity.
enigmail works with thunderbird, icedove (Debian),
but not sure with kmail-trinity.

And what about installing the Ubuntu 14.04 Trinity live CD first and
then apt-get dist-upgrade?
This would upgrade Ubuntu to 16.04 with minimal risk.
I did this to go from 12.04 to 14.04 without any glitch.
Just a hint from my own (successful) experience.
Hi, I use Trinity on Arch Linux. I didn't use a display manager, but
rather started Trinity and I3 through .xinitrc script (I don't know if
it is relevant).
After installing Trinity, some of GTK apps (Midori, dwb) failed to
start in I3, with similar message:
"Could not find mime type application/octet-stream" and segfaut. Didn't
test in Trinity.
First quick fix was to set an environment variable
GSETTINGS_SCHEMA_DIR=/usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas
but some other apps (SpaceFM) still segfaulted after many error
messages. Then I disabled /etc/profile.d/trinity.sh and started it only
when starting Trinity, which solved my problem.
I am building a new workstation and I really, Really, REALLY
want to fire it up with Ubuntu 16.04 LTS with Trinity R14.0.3.

I don't believe I've seen any chatter about Ubuntu 16.04 on this list.
And, I really do not want to start out 2-years old with Ubuntu 14.04.
"Inertia" usually prevents me from upgrading releases once I have a
solid linux workstaion humming along. Hell, my primary workstation is
$ cat /etc/lsb-release
DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
DISTRIB_RELEASE=10.04
DISTRIB_CODENAME=lucid
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS"
... with TDE 3.5.13.3

Hi.
I seem to have messed up the file associations list. I went into
Trinity Control Center to add .webm as a video file type, and somehow
deleted something so that now I'm getting "Could not find mime type
application/octet-stream" errors every time I drop a file onto the
desktop.
Maybe I could recreate the entry, or copy the default file
associations list back over my user .trinity list?
I don't want to have to reinstall everything just to clear a "Sorry" pop-up.
