Thank you!! That didn't apply to Evolution, but that utility helped me with
lots of other apps, such as KeePassXC or qBitTorrent. I have font smoothing
disabled, so the default font for Qt apps looked so bad I avoided them.
Besides, the font size was too big for my liking (and the colours and
decorations didn't match, of course), and I didn't know how to personalize
them without this.
Thank you again!
Carlos
In the past couple weeks I upgraded my machine from Devuan Chimaera to
Daedalus, and it has been more of a headache than any previous upgrades. I
wonder if anybody else has had similar experiences. But that is another
story ...
Most of the issues I have managed to iron out. Things now work almost the same
as before, or better; but then again, not quite. In any case, I can manage,
but I do wish for less change in my life, or that those changes could be more
predictable.
Now I am getting this error when I use any kind of shell or terminal. All I
need to do is to enter anything at all, and hit return, and I get this error
message:
ERROR: ld.so: object '/opt/trinity/lib/kgtk/libkgtk2.so' from LD_PRELOAD
cannot be preloaded (cannot open shared object file): ignored.
Mind you, everything still seems to work right enough, but this is not normal,
and I would like it to go away. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi,
As Kmail isn't a viable option for use with corporate Office 365 e-mail (it
doesn't support OAuth), I've installed Evolution with it's Exchange Web
Access package.
However, the icons in it are from the Adawita theme, and I don't seem to be
able to change them using Trinity. From MATE, if I change the Icon theme
using the built-in tool it also changes the icons on Evolution, but that's
not the case in Trinity.
I had managed to change the font and the decorations editing the
$HOME/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini, but not the icons. I've installed the
gtk-qt-engine-trinity package and tried to change the settings from Trinity's
Control Center, but that has only edited my settings.ini file and caused
Evolution to not run at all, with this terminal output
(evolution:2551): Gtk-ERROR **: 20:27:32.588: GTK+ 2.x symbols detected.
Using GTK+ 2.x and GTK+ 3 in the same process is not supported
Firefox also doesn't work now, with the same terminal output.
I think I'm missing something here, because it wouldn't make sense that I'd be
able to change the decorations and font, but not the icons.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
Thank you,
Carlos

Hi Ilya,
The "walk through windows" option should, by default, be set to ALT+TAB and
behave as you said (opening the list of Windows and switching only after
releasing the ALT key), or at least it does in my case.
I've been looking though the control center and it looks as if you have
disabled the "Show window list while switching windows" option, which is
under Desktop, in Window behaviour (or maybe something similar, my computer
is not in English).
Disabling it seems to make the desktop behave just as you described (switching
windows immediatly), so I'd try enabling that option.

Hello!
When I press ALT+TAB nothing happens and I can't find any appropriate
entry for switching the tasks in keyboard shortcuts (was it ever
there? I don't know because ALT+TAB worked just fine without any
setting editing).
I found something called "Walk Through Windows" -- but it's not the
same thing (it switches windows immediately, while the old good
ALT+TAB opened the list of windows and switched only after releasing
of the ALT key)
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Ilya D.
greets, everybody.
for some reason unknown to me, i can no longer print from tde apps. running localhost:631 brings up the cups admin page and i can print a test page just fine. i can print from libreoffice and mozilla. but if i try to print from, say, kpdf, an "initializing printing system" box pops up, then an error saying cups isn't installed or is misconfigured.

Does anyone else here use Kaffeine? Since upgrading to R14.1.0, for me the
Audio Visualization modules seem to be missing; the default module, goom,
does nothing, and if I attempt to switch to another, Kaffeine crashes.
Kaffeine player is at level 0.8.8.

I've fiddled with this for quite a while, and I finally have gotten it to
work!
I wanted the names on the Konsole session tabs to match the last node of the
working directory; that makes it much easier to pick the right tab. The
change is triggered by bash routine kcd (konsole cd) and the code that
actually changes the tab name is changeKonsoleSessionName.
I've attached the pieces of code that do the job. (changeKonsoleSessionName
is written in Rexx. Sorry, but the string manipulation tools in bash are
just awful; but the code is probably clear enough, and could be rewritten by
an enterprising person. :-)
I was thinking of adding something to change the text colour of the tab, but
there doesn't seem to be a DCOP method for doing that. :-(

Hi all;
Maybe somebody can reproduce this: opening the attached pdf in kpdf only shows the formulas, but not the text. Opening the same pdf in xpdf works flawless.
