Hi all! I just found that KPDF is (again) asking for a password on non-password-protected PDFs and fails to open the PDF if no password is given. The PDF preview in konqueror is fine. I have attached a PDF that triggers the behaviour on my system (KPDF 14.2.0~pre65-0debian13.0.0+3~a). Could somebody please verify? Darkness :) Remaster of devuan testing + TDE + dark theme for AMD64

Full Thumbnails (PDF, Videos...)

Hi, after 2,5 years Plasma I am back to TDE. What packages are needed for video and pdf thumbnails? Nano for Donations

I guess this is mainly for Slávek and Michele, but would you consider adding Nano (nano.org) as a donation option on the TDE site? I'd much prefer to use that over Bitcoin as it's more energy efficient, instant, and has no fees. I've used it for years without issue. I personally use and prefer https://nault.cc as a non-custodial wallet but there are others to choose from. https://blocklattice.io is a good block explorer if you're interested in seeing transactions. Kaffeine fails to load XineParts

I finally got sound working after upgrading to openSUSE Leap 15.6 (Yay), but when I start Kaffeine to listen to some music, it says it can't load XineParts (unYay). I've attached the message that Kaffeine displays. It's not too helpful. In openSUSE Leap 15.6, sound is now controlled by PipeWire instead of PulseAudio. Could this have anything to do with my issue? Hi there everyone! Might as well join the party eh? I have created a live Debian ISO that currently tracks Debian Bookworm with the stable Trinity repository. It is based off live-build with a small modified selection of packages for a smooth experience. Any changes and updates will be pushed through the matrixOS repo, and I will take package requests for backports and such. I will also update the ISO to include the new Trinity release when that launches. I don't see how it's a TDE issue, but . . .

Hi, everybody . . . This is a weird one. It's under Debian testing, but it happened under Tapeworm, too. With TDE testing. Running LibreOffice 24.8.2.1. For close to 15 years, I've had "Insert hyperlink" in my RMB menu in text fields. With the updates (I think specifically of LibreOffice) but cannot be absolutely sure, it's still there. But clicking on it spawns a dialog box for character formatting. So I deleted it and replaced it. Same thing. Renamed ~/.config/libreoffice and reinstalled LibreOffice itself. Added "Insert hyperlink" to menu. Same thing. So I tred it on my notebook, also running testing/testing. Same thing. It is easier to configure the Linux kernel than it is to configure LibreOffice, because LibreOffice tries to allow for everything, no matter how unlikely, and gives it all equal weight. For instance, if you go to Tools > Customize > Context Menus, you have a choice of 49(!) menus you can edit. The fun part is that none of the menu names is reflected in the places where you would find those menus. Nor are the things controlled by them accessible. I'd rename the character formatting thing if I could find it, and see what happens then. But can't find the frigging thing. recently, TDE slow to move files to trash

As of a recent TDE update (sometime in the past month or less), moving files to trash has become painfully slow, with the operation typically taking tens of seconds instead of a second or two. This has happened in the past with remote disks mounted over ssh (there was a thread about this maybe two or three years ago), but now it is happening with local storage. Are other people seeing this? If not, any ideas what might be the problem? For the sake of completeness, I will make the "I haven't [knowingly] changed anything here" statement.
