Not a TDE problem, a grub problem

Hello all, I know this is not a TDE problem, but as some here know much more than I do: I am trying to clone a 256GB SSD to a 512Gb one. I did clone the disk, but O can't bott directly (I get a grub prompt). So I boot to my system fom a USB install thumbdrive, and try to reintsall grub. This is (I think) a grub-efi system (it has a win11 partition that I unfortunately have to keep and is GPT formatted). The error message I get is: grub-install error: cannot copy '/usr/share/locale/fr.gmo' to '/boot/grub/locale/fr.mo': Is a directory And all my searches return nothing about this error message. When I have time (this summer), I can do a complete reinstall but maybe someone here understands more about it and can give a clue? Thierry

PyTQt: ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'sip_tqt_config'

I'm trying to build TDE bindings packages for Slackware. I'm not a Python wiz kid and don't play one on TV. I understand what is happening in the failure but don't know how to fix. My pytqt build script fails with: ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'sip_tqt_config' Caused by the configure.py command: import sip_tqt_config I presume the sip4-tqt package built okay because such a file does exist: /usr/lib64/python3.9/site-packages/sip4-tqt/sip_tqt_config.py Running the following command exits with a zero exit code: python3 /usr/lib64/python3.9/site-packages/sip4-tqt/sip_tqt_config.py Running a python shell: import sys print(sys.path) ['', '/usr/lib64/python39.zip', '/usr/lib64/python3.9', '/usr/lib64/python3.9/lib-dynload', '/usr/lib64/python3.9/site-packages'] Here is how I compiled sip4-tqt: PYTHON_SITE_PACKAGES=$(python3 -c "import site; print(site.getsitepackages())" | cut -d ',' -f1 | tr -d "'" | tr -d "\[") FLAGS="$CPUOPT -I${INSTALL_DIR}/include/tqt -I/${INSTALL_DIR}/include -I/usr/include" python3 configure.py \ -b "${INSTALL_DIR}/bin" \ -d "${PYTHON_SITE_PACKAGES}/${PRGNAM}" \ -e "${INSTALL_DIR}/include/" \ -u CFLAGS="$FLAGS" CXXFLAGS="$FLAGS" Where $INSTALL_DIR=/opt/trinity. What is tdepyuic?

I'm building TDE packages for Slackware. I tried to compile desktop-effects-tde. The configuration steps informed me I am missing tdepyuic. I have no idea what that is. A separate package? Part of the Python bindings? Thanks. :)

Testing back traces

I am creating a Slackware build environment. I want to test back traces (not tripping out symbols). I seem to recall there was a way to test this in TDE but I don't remember. How to test back traces and symbols? Thanks. :)

Where do I find the system default config files for the following (from which kpersonalizer creates user rc files)? konsole schema konsole keyboard shortcuts konsole tab bar location konqueror single-click/double-click twin default window placement (I think this requires patching code?)
