Adding TLS (port 563/snntp) to KNode

I was directed to the Trinity project by the Q4OS team. I'd like to make a feature request for tdepim. I don't know if it's a big lift or not, but I use port 563/snntp to connect to my USENET provider. Could that be added to KNode? Let me know if there is better way to direct the feature request. Saw this last night and thought it was interesting. Just another example of what most of us here hate: My Android phone got upgraded to Android 16. When I wanted to shut it down... Long press on the "start" button and you get Gemini AI! You've got to go to the settings and change a "gesture" to again be allowed to turn off your phone.

A request for the next version of Konqueror

I use Konqueror as a file manager, as I imagine most people do. In the toolbar there is the view mode button, but if you click on it nothing happens. You have to click on the unbelievably small -- I've never hit it on the first try -- down triangle that pawns a menu of view modes: Icon view, multi-column view, list view, detailed list view, and so on. Right clicking on it, as with every other button in the toolbar, renders a toolbar menu. So all the button does is provide that tiny triangle. Wouldn't it make more sense if the button itself produced the view mode list? It would certainlt be much easier to use. Moving taskbar and calendar in panel

And a question. How does one move the clock/calendar on the panel? Mine has gotten shoved to the right to the point that the taskbar is shortened, but the control to move the taskbar to the left is greyed out because there is no room -- the calendar/clock is in the way. So I need to move it first. But there is no move control for the clock/calendar that I can find. First, some of us have had different experiences from mine installing Debian Trixie. That's because this time around I was testing the one-desktop tryout CDs, not the full-tilt install. So questions you get from the net installer you do not get from the one-desktop versions. Which is a crime, but there you are. (Also, trusting its partitioning is fraught with peril: I had to dump out of some software installation because / ran out of space, so I had to boot from a system rescue disk on USB and run GParted to make enough space.) Second, I've said ugly (and I think deserved) things about LXQT, but it does have one brilliant feature, in its little "Featherpad" equivalent to KEdit: As with KEdit, it will let you open files to which you do not normally have write permission, and even edit them. But unlike KEdit, if you make changes and try to save them, it prompts you for a password. That is a huge improvement in usability. I have a line I need to run sometime before the desktop appears on a dinky computer. It's an xrandr command that rotates the screen 90 degrees to the right and sets 168 dpi. Appearance & Themes lost after a system hang.

Occasionally, after my system hangs (after forgetting to kill my Firefox instances), many of my customized desktop settings (colours, fonts) are lost and I have to reset them all (a tedious exercise). . . . to get a full proper TDE Debian release? I just spent most of an hour removing the droppings of LXQT. This is because I figured -- erroneously, it seems -- that it would be the easiest of the Debian iso files to fumigate after I installed TDE. I downloaded and installed the image that Jacob made as MatrixOS; problem is, it seems to be Debian 12, Bookworm, so installation would immediately have been followed by a full system upgrade, which would have taken even longer than squashing LXQT. They have live CDs of damn near everything: https://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/current-live/amd64/iso-hybrid/ I'll happily donate to wherever one must in order to get TDE added to the list.
