[trinity-users] Trouble mounting sr1 as user but not sr0

Hi People (and the rest of you) Having trouble mounting sr1 as user but not sr0. It's clearly a perm problem but I'm at a loss to figure it out as both have the same perms. When trying to mount from media:/ for example I get: Unable to mount this device. Potential reasons include: Improper device and/or user privilege level Corrupt data on storage device Technical details: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod: No such interface “org.freedesktop.UDisks2.Filesystem” on object at path /org/freedesktop/UDisks2/block_devices/sr1 My user belongs to all the right groups. sr0 works as expected. Any ideas? [trinity-users] kate & scheme comments

Hi all! It looks like kates scheme/lisp syntax file has a bug. Somehow on my system the multiline comments are not recognised. e.g: (this is no comment) ;; (this is single line comment) (this is no comment) #| (this should be multiline comment but is not) |# Could sombody please verify this? [trinity-users] exegnu64 sources list.

Want to see if installimg exegnu64 is a "shortcut" to my typical install method. The sources.list for Devuan is correct, the Trinty sources.list is different than the one listed in the install directions, Trinity website. Can I edit the Trinity sources after install and have a robust sytem? gregm

[trinity-users] changing perms

Greetings all; I find I cannot execute some parts of tde's system admin because its not asking for a sudo passwd, but roots, and root does not have a passwd set. [trinity-users] Sound don't works.

Hi! :-) I just installed TDE (following the official instructions), on a fresh Devuan (stable, x64, console-only) installation. I tried both tde and tdebase metapackages. Everything seems to work good and well, with one exception: Sound doesn't seem to work at all. It may be related to this issue: https://bugs.trinitydesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3031 However, this isn't the case here, since installing PulseAudio, didn't change anything. Do you think it's a bug? Any thoughts? [trinity-users] Alt+Space missing?

Hi there. I recently noticed this running Debian Buster/Sid using Preliminary Stable build. It's supposed to bring up the Window menu, so Alt+Space N would minimize the window in focus. Anyone else notice this? Greetings all; I have a need to disable dpms and anything else associated with blanking the screen, sometime for around 12 hours. Our old friend xset has apparently been neutered and incapable to controlling any of this. So what is silently overriding these user set choices, something in TDE? Thanks all. [trinity-users] Activating the Trinity Desktop Environment

I am 80 years old and retired after a career in Systems programming and consulting, but I am a complete novice when it comes to Linux. I have decided to try Ubuntu 20.04 and as part of the learning process I decided to install the Trinity Desktop Environment. After struggling through the installation I finally was able to get the installation to run without errors, however, the Desktop does not activate when logging into Ubuntu. Also, Trinity is not listed in the "sessions" list on the log in page. 1. Is there anyway to check if the installation was completed correctly? 2. How do I activate the desktop if the installation was correct? Hello all, Tried to upgrade/update my old pi 3. But I got a message saying it was impossible to install Libpoppler-tqt_4 and then TDE was broken. No biggie as I just wrote back the backup image but I don't know if this was a download problem or there is something missing in the repository.
