enigmail (GPG) with kmail-trinity

Does anyone has succeeded to install "enigmail" with kmail-trinity, or an application similar to enigmail ? The objective is to use GPG keys in kmail-trinity. enigmail works with thunderbird, icedove (Debian), but not sure with kmail-trinity. Have a nice day. André

And what about installing the Ubuntu 14.04 Trinity live CD first and then apt-get dist-upgrade? This would upgrade Ubuntu to 16.04 with minimal risk. I did this to go from 12.04 to 14.04 without any glitch. Just a hint from my own (successful) experience.

Hi, I use Trinity on Arch Linux. I didn't use a display manager, but rather started Trinity and I3 through .xinitrc script (I don't know if it is relevant). After installing Trinity, some of GTK apps (Midori, dwb) failed to start in I3, with similar message: "Could not find mime type application/octet-stream" and segfaut. Didn't test in Trinity. First quick fix was to set an environment variable GSETTINGS_SCHEMA_DIR=/usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas but some other apps (SpaceFM) still segfaulted after many error messages. Then I disabled /etc/profile.d/trinity.sh and started it only when starting Trinity, which solved my problem.

LiveCD for Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

I am building a new workstation and I really, Really, REALLY want to fire it up with Ubuntu 16.04 LTS with Trinity R14.0.3. Ref: https://wiki.trinitydesktop.org/LiveCDs , has anyone built a Live CD for Xenial yet? Or, is a Live CD under construction? Or, has anyone installed installed TDE 14.0.3 on Ubuntu 16.04 yet and could/would share their experiences if I run into "challenges" during a raw install? I don't believe I've seen any chatter about Ubuntu 16.04 on this list. And, I really do not want to start out 2-years old with Ubuntu 14.04. "Inertia" usually prevents me from upgrading releases once I have a solid linux workstaion humming along. Hell, my primary workstation is $ cat /etc/lsb-release DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu DISTRIB_RELEASE=10.04 DISTRIB_CODENAME=lucid DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS" ... with TDE 3.5.13.3 Thanks for reading this, and thanks for TDE!! Hi. I seem to have messed up the file associations list. I went into Trinity Control Center to add .webm as a video file type, and somehow deleted something so that now I'm getting "Could not find mime type application/octet-stream" errors every time I drop a file onto the desktop. Maybe I could recreate the entry, or copy the default file associations list back over my user .trinity list? I don't want to have to reinstall everything just to clear a "Sorry" pop-up. Ktorrent not showing peers' Country

[trinity-users] TDE session won't start in buntu 16.04

On attempt to start session either via TDM greeter or startx, popup message reports: "There was an error setting up inter-process communications for TDE. The message returned by the system was: Could not read network connection list. /home/username/.DCOPserver_hostname_0 Please check that the "dcopserver" program is running!" Then on dismissing that popup, another reports: "Could not start tdeinit. Check your installation." So, check how? What's supposed to start dcopserver? Is the "cannot open" message in .xsession-errors saying that some dependency is broken? I see mention of libbfd there, but 2.26.1-system.so (not libbfd-2.26-system.so) does exist in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/. Cannot install TDE trinity in Stretch box

I the did the following: all these commands were run as root. Since I wanted to install TDE only -- no other DEs -- I ran command "apt-get x-window-system". When that was done I was able to run successfully startx. I added to /etc/sources.list the following two lines: deb http://mirror.xcer.cz/trinity-sb stretch deps-r14 main-r14 deb-src http://mirror.xcer.cz/trinity-sb stretch deps-r14 main-r14 I then ran successfully: sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-key A04BE668 and then "apt-get update && apt-get upgrade" successfully. When next I ran "apt-get install tde-trinity" the following was returned. Reading package lists... done Reading dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not been created or been move out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: tde-trinity: Depends: tde-core-trinity (>= 4:14.0.0~) but it is not going to be installed. tde-trinity: Depends: tdegraphics-trinity (>= 4:14.0.0~) but it is not going to be installed. E: Unable to correct problems; you have broken packages. Running "aptitude install tde-trinity returns a similar message. I would appreciate it greatly if someone could tell me what all the foregoing means and what to do now to install the TDE.
