Hi Slávek,
you seem to have encountered the same problem as
reported on bugzilla as
3024: http://bugs.pearsoncomputing.net/show_bug.cgi?id=3024
Indeed, looks similar.
I'm on a 64bit system though.
I just realized that I also can't send email via an SMTP server that requires SSL.
Also, I went to https://www.kernel.org in Konqueror and it works. Clicking the padlock
icon shows
TLSv1.2 as the SSL version.
