If you look in "Trinity Control Center"
"KDE Components" Component
Chooser and Default Applications, contain the same options and for
all intents and purpose are identical except for the name.
Not sure which TDE
version is there, but it must be on a transition path. In the latest sources, KDE
Components has been replaced by TDE Components and same goes for Component chooser and
Default Application.
