Same thing is true of ubiquity installer frontends I use with Remastersys. In
this case I had to modify the remastersys main script to prevent it
from installing
the kde4 frontend (which doesn't work with Trinity at all).
Finally, to have Linux on the new laptop with working wifi, I
installed Lubuntu. Added the Trinity repositories in order to bring
in a few programs, but haven't been able to install the whole Trinity
desktop. There are broken packages, maybe due to having to use the
raring version in sources.list while the Lubuntu version is saucy.
Oh well, I am travelling tomorrow but will have more questions in a few days...
