Hi
Hello everyone:
I have a opensuse tumbleweed, i found and install TDE since 2 days.
Everything seen right but i have a little problem: MY KEYBOARD.
The situation:
I am spanish talker, but i have a english keyboard. Normally i use
us_intl variant with sucess.
Curisoso, el nombre Christan Schmitz no sueña muy español, pero vale.
jejejej soy
Argentino.
Before to install TDE i used Plasma with us_intl
without problem, even
the terminal TTY1 is working us_intl.
The problem:
Now in trinity i see that INTL variant does not work, only english
layout. I dont know but also dont work the quotation marks so is
unposiible write some like printf("hello" ); into kate .
I had a similar problem some time ago with Ubuntu, try the following:
In your home directory create a file .xinputrc
the . Is important
Add just the line
run_im none
Restart your xserver, I think it is sufficient to logout and in.

I tested shutdown the PC and restarted same simptom after:
myuser@mypc:~> cat .xinputrc
run_im none
The ibus icon still here, they reported a bug with variants, But seem like to
be a essencial program
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ibus/+bug/1284635
Recent i find on kmail that if i do right click appear: select input method,
if i select xim work bad, but
if i select simple composing i can put tilde (árbol) but quote still bad
Konsole fail in all keyboard config.
wolf@Wolf:~> setxkbmap -print
xkb_keymap {
xkb_keycodes { include "evdev+aliases(qwerty)" };
xkb_types { include "complete" };
xkb_compat { include "complete" };
xkb_symbols {
include
"pc+us(intl)+inet(evdev)+terminate(ctrl_alt_bksp)+terminate(ctrl_alt_bksp)"
};
xkb_geometry { include "microsoft(natural)" };
};
wolf@Wolf:~> setxkbmap -query
rules: evdev
model: microsoftpro
layout: us
variant: intl
options: terminate:ctrl_alt_bksp
Best Regards.
