Help Please - LibreOffice Problem

Hello, I have installed TDE Ubuntu 12.04 today and found that when I select LibreOffice the splash screen comes up and freezes for several minutes before I can clear it by clicking on the desktop. Trying to open up a document has the same effect. I have uninstalled the complete package via Adept and then re-installed to no avail. A check with Synaptic doesn't reveal any broken packages. I have checked the archives for anything relevant. Any ideas as to what's wrong please. -- W. Devon - - - - - - Trinity
