Not needed. Just a ~/.gtkrc-2.0 with:
style "user-font" { font_name="Tahoma 8" } widget_class "*" style "user-font"
That will set the default font for all widgets (menu, toolbar, etc..) to "Tahoma 8". You can fine-tune what each font is applied to.
