tdekbdledsync has the task to synchronize the LED status between the
Xserver
and the keyboard.
Yes, it is true that the process runs automatically and is not a
configuration
option to prevent it. Instead of killing the process you can try (on Debian
and Ubuntu) blocking:
dpkg-divert --local --rename /opt/trinity/bin/tdekbdledsync
ln -s /bin/true /opt/trinity/bin/tdekbdledsync
