Thanks. The problem, though, isn't making cursors -- you can do that easily
in any distribution or modify existing ones. The problem is creating
reverse transparency, such that, say, you're pointing in a document to
black text on a white background, and with such a pointer it would be
white text on a black background. Thus, the pointer would be very visible
without blocking anything. I can make one that's transparent, but that
would be invisible. So it needs to be inverted. The article doesn't get
into that. I'm not even sure it can be done under X.
