Probably will with 4, as KDE3 does.

- install Trinity, following the instructions on the wiki
- From a text console, remove at least "kdelibs3" package; but it's
better to remove all packages from KDE3.
Do you mean as a necessity, or just to remove unused code? (I have TDE installed on Mageia-2 (KDE4), but did not realise I *must* uninstalll anything!
Or are you simply referring to *sole* use of TDE, when KDE code is not needed?
