Would letting apt-get or aptitude uninstall
everything it wants then
trying to reinstall it all? I don't hold a lot of hope for this as this
is what I was planning to do with the packages for the dist-upgrade, but
this didn't work out so well...
Do so, but keep notes what it does. You could try aptitude and reinstall
the trinity stuff that got uninstalled in a second pass.
