To the hardworking Devs and ISO-builders, Please, that's pretty please with sugar on top, can we have hybrid .ISOs for the expected new batch of live CDs/DVDs with TDE R14.0.2?? My reasons for asking ....

they are not particularly user-friendly. eg. unetbootin is a total PITA. Besides a simple "sudo dd if=path-to-hybrid of=/dev/usb-stick" is trivial and works as expected. 3. Boot and run from a USB-stick is much faster than any CD/DVD

demonstrating to potential new adopters is a better experience.

Do you have a link to how to build the hybrid images (from the command line is preferred)? I haven't looked into that technology as I tend to build live USB images with unetbootin.
Thanks!
Tim
I'm in my script simply run on final iso file: isohybrid $TREE/../tde-$TDE-ubuntu-$UBUNTU-desktop-$ARCH.iso
-- Slávek
This sounds like the easiest solution; I'll look into activating this on the CD builder.
Thanks all!
Tim
This has now been enabled on the nightly build LiveCDs, and will be part of the next TDE release. As a reminder, nightly builds, embedded system images, and nightly LiveCDs are available exclusively to developers and financial supporters of the TDE project.
Thanks,
