Hi,
Looks like X11 is will come to the end of its life in the next few years,
while Ubuntu talks of Mir and there is also Wayland. Will it be possible
to adapt TDE and TQt3 for these new graphic frameworks?
Here is some links on it:

This will be very difficult. I have been aware of Wayland for some time
but I don't think X11 is truly coming to the end of its life anytime soon.
When the time does come we would need to write a new backend renderer
(probably targetting Cairo), then rewrite large chunks of TQt3, tdelibs,
and tdebase at minimum. This is not possible with our current manpower.
