Not sure what the relevance is to Trinity project, but I use the broadcom wl module, and it works fine for me. I run v5.60.48.36 under Arch Linux (see: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=19514). If you have additional questions, feel free to email me offlist about it.
