Hello,
I would like to (roughly) know whether there are plans for supporting other Linux distributions than Ubuntu? I for example use Suse. It would be great if the KDE 3.5 would be available at some time as (just!) an alternative desktop in the standard distributions. Are there plans/hopes regarding this?
I have experience in installing mathematical software, but I would guess that KDE can't just be installed locally, and there is quite a risk that it might destroy your working system, or? So I would think that for me, as a user, for using KDE 3.5 it has to come in some form supported by standard distributions.
Thanks for your time!
Oliver
