Supposedly on latest R14 but apt-get is reporting IGN on the mirror.xcer.cz translation

What is the correct sources.list line for staying current with all tde r14 updates? I did just now get 11 updates for the box on the mill, but none for this box, which should have similar TDE installs. But I've been looking at a red star for the update-manager status just to the left of the time-date display for weeks, just on this machine, but if I "sudo apt-get update", no errors are reported. But I just checked in /etc/apt/sources.list.d and found several enpty or all commented out files and nuked them and the red star is gone. Puzzling at best, like waiting for the other shoe to drop.
