If its any help I get the same message when I do "ps aux | grep dcop" both as root and user.

"dcopserver [kdeinit] --nosid --suicide process"

Running the LinuxOs that Alexandre Couture kindly released.

The .DCOP files are created by the TDE dcopserver, and in fact the dcopserver may still be running on your system (try "ps aux | grep dcop" to check).
