I have had no problems that I can recall running KDE5 programs even though TDE
is my desktop.
I haven't used gdrive, though. But I wouldn't expect there to be any problem
with doing so. I'm pretty sure that I've /never/ seen any conflict when using
KDE5 programs under TDE. (I routinely use kate5 and digikam5, and less
routinely a few other KDE5 programs.)
